FIG (Ficus carica)


The Fig cultivation in Brazil, was started in the tempered climatic area of the State of São Paulo by European families and even today it keeps the same characteristics of its origin. Brazilian figs with their purple /green skin and red pulp have a distinctive sweet flavor and are very delicious when ripe (they must be soft to the touch). This fruit can be eaten raw or with sweet and savory dishes.
